Need to resize digital photos in a pinch?
There are times when you might want to batch process photos when your in a pinch. Most of us either setup a batch process rule in Photoshop, or you can batch process in Fireworks. Now lets say you don’t have either of these available to you. This is when you can use a tool I came across called Fotosizer.
This little program really does a good job resizing photos and is faster than what I expected it to be. Like most people out there, I’m a big fan of freeware programs. This program really is targeted for the average Joe digital camera user. You can use it to resize photos from your digital camera with out the hassel of a full blown application. It is light weight (installs nicely on the computer), and runs without problems. On the website they say that you can reduce photos in 3 easy steps. It’s true, this little app is fast and simple to use.
For the average home user and digital photography buff, Fotosizer is something that should be in your computer arsenal.
The only real downfall right now is that there is no version for Mac. I like that the company mentions this on their website. When they acknowledge it, that usually means someone behind the doors there will eventually make a version for another OS I hope. I am a little concerned about the staying power of this app too. We really are to a point were services like this will be available online. This program would be even better if they had made an online version, but for now this app ranks high in my book.
